a Great Man & a Great Father.

Yesterday, while I was again admitted to the same hospital from food poisoning. I had shared the room with a man. From the conversation I overheard, it seemed that he had just undergone an operation. He looked lonely, watching the television for hours, and so I thought he had none or less relatives. While my parents were done with the visiting and returned, then came his family. It was a huge family, around 5 person came and surrounded the man.

So he is a father, a father of 3 children, and a husband to one adorable wife. From the way how he was treated by his family, instantly, I knew that he is not only a great man, but too a great father, who deserved such treatment. I was lying on my bed beside his, reading newspaper (and eavesdropping nonetheless =P). Less I have seen a wife can be so soft and tender to her husband and nursing the husband so well, with so much patience. Another scenario that amazed me was his children, although joked with him, but at the same time, the respect and salutation they had for their father can definitely be felt. His daughters were joking around, and mocking their younger brother in front of the father. The father just simply replied but anyone there can feel how pleased he was with his family.

When it has gotten late, the family went back, the wife stayed. From beside I can hear all those mushy sounds coming from her wife, well, I mean the tone of tenderness, before your imagination go wild =/

Of course, I was glad to see such a happy family, but I am rather inspired to be such a man one day, who owns his family's love and respect. The bond between him and his family was beyond trust. And how many years would one take to build such a strong tie with his/her family when trust can be so easily be crushed? Needless to say, he must have done and sacrificed a lot for the family to deserve such.

One day, if I too, am to have a family. Such a man will be my role model.

(P/S: Of course my father is still my #1 role model, this is an undeniable fact.)
Thank you very much for what you give and what I have dad.
